Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift position requiring CT and X-ray competency, with a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active CA license.

Details

• Community hospital setting in a CT Scan unit
• Performs both CT and X-ray imaging
• 4x10 hour night shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• Active CA state license required (license required if applicable)
• ARRT (R) required; ARRT (CT) preferred
• BLS certification required; must be AHA or American Red Cross
• All certifications must be in hand at time of consideration
• Proficiency in CT image display and post-processing, including multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and region of interest (ROI) measurement
• Experience with CT imaging across modalities including head/neck, spine, chest, abdomen/pelvis, and vascular studies
• Proficiency with contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV starts, and radiation safety protocols
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 2 supervisor references from within the last year required for consideration
• 7-year work history verification required

Additional Information

• Perform CT and X-ray imaging including brain, head/neck, spine, chest, abdomen/pelvis, vascular, and cardiac studies
• Preferred experience includes 3D rendering techniques (MIP, surface shaded displays, volume rendering), coronary CTA, cardiac calcium scoring, enterography, and image-guided procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, and drainage
• GE and Philips equipment experience preferred
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract
• Orientation includes module completion via e-learning; module hours vary by specialty
• Scrub color or dress code not specified
