Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN licensed in Illinois for a 13-week travel contract, with heavy Ortho, Urology, Spine, and Robotic surgical procedures on a day shift schedule.

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Specializes in Ortho, Urology, Spine, and Robotic-assisted surgical procedures
• 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, on day shift
• Call requirements include 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days per month, with potential for additional call based on departmental need
• Floating to other facilities and clinically appropriate units may be required within the clinician's scope of practice, licensure, and demonstrated competencies

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, and evaluating patient outcomes
• Clinicians are expected to recognize and report changes in patient condition using sound nursing clinical judgment
• Patient and family education is a key component of the role
• Accurate and complete medical record documentation is required
• Participation in continuing education is expected
