Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown) position in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and cardiac nursing skills.

Details

• 16-bed Progressive Care Unit (Stepdown) in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes post-heart catheterization patients, cardiac-focused patients, and overflow cases
• Charting is performed in Cerner
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Kansas (KS) or a Compact state currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required — must be AHA-issued
• PCU or cardiac stepdown nursing experience required
• Valid US Social Security Number and US home address required
• Copies of Driver's License, certifications, and license verification (Nursys) required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide progressive cardiac care to post-cath and cardiac-focused patients in a stepdown environment
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is preferred but not required
• MOAB De-Escalation Training is preferred but not required
• Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
