Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position at an acute care hospital, requiring 2 years of cardiac tele experience and a valid MO or compact RN license.
Details
- Day shift position, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
- Cardiac Telemetry unit in a 233-bed acute care hospital
- Patient ratio of 1:5-6
- Rotating weekend requirement
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MO RN license or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Telemetry nursing experience required
- Required certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Preferred certifications: ACLS and CPI
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Experience with cardiac medications and drips (non-titration)
- Experience with TAVR, LAA closure, chest tubes, and external pacers
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Navy scrubs required
- Free parking on-site
- No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Former permanent employees of BJC facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may work at BJC facilities for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
- Local candidates (within 75 miles of the facility) are not accepted for this position
