Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (Inpatient) with 5+ years of Level 1 trauma critical care experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment requiring Epic proficiency.
Details
- Inpatient respiratory therapy role at a Level 1 trauma facility in Boston, MA
- Critical care experience required in both MICU and SICU settings
- Level III NICU experience preferred
- 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Familiarity with Dräger XL and v500 ventilators preferred
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
- Active MA Respiratory Care license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS required
- NPS and/or ACCS preferred
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience in a Level 1 trauma facility
- Recent critical care experience in both MICU and SICU required
- Proficiency with lung protective ventilation required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Permanent residence must be 30 or more miles from the facility
- Two professional references required for consideration — at least one must be from a manager-level or above (title must reflect 'Manager,' not 'Supervisor') and must include a performance evaluation; one evaluation must be within the past 12 months, the other within the past 3 years; references from other travelers are not accepted
- Driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include making independent ventilator decisions based on patient assessment and laboratory results
- Participation on the Code Blue team is required
- One reference from a prior travel or temporary assignment is preferred
- 13-week assignment based in Boston, MA
