Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a DC RN license, 2 years of L&D experience, and Cerner proficiency.
Details
- 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in Washington, DC
- Labor & Delivery unit serving females of childbearing age, including pregnant patients from 17 weeks gestation through delivery
- Patient activity includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, triage, vaginal deliveries, and C-sections
- Scheduled procedures include C-sections, external cephalic versions, and cerclage
- Primary equipment includes fetal monitors, Cerner, and Fetalink documentation systems
- Schedule is 3x12-hour rotating day/night shifts, 36 hours per week
- Cerner EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
- Active RN license in good standing in the state of practice (no pending licenses)
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience in a US hospital required
- Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required
- US Social Security Number required
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
Additional Information
- Candidate must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
- CPI certification is mandated for this position
- All certifications submitted must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
