Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring at least 1 year of PCU experience and night shift availability with every other weekend commitment.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers are first to float to a lesser acuity unit
• Major holiday coverage required; manager will work with schedule for potential time off on a major holiday
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of PCU RN experience required
• High acuity drip experience preferred
• Arterial line experience preferred
• BiPAP/Airvo experience preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• New graduates will not be considered for this position

Additional Information

• Orientation spans approximately 5 days: days 1–2 are system-wide orientation, days 3–4 are facility and clinical orientation, and day 5 focuses on computer training before unit placement

• Local and travel candidates are accepted at the same rate
