Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU Float position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a willingness to float to Med Surg, with night shift availability and weekend flexibility.

Details

• Float position primarily supporting the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Med Surg
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a (4x12-hour shifts)
• 84 hours biweekly on an alternating 36/48-hour schedule; straight 48-hour schedules may also be considered
• Weekend availability required, which may include most weekends during the contract
• Block scheduling may be accommodated, but set schedules are not available
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Must be agreeable to floating between PCU and Med Surg
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions
• Candidates should avoid any substances that could cause a positive drug screen result — including CBD products — throughout the duration of the contract
