Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and TN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital in the Women's and Children's building
• 12-bed unit with 1:2 patient ratios
• Unit staffed by RNs, unit secretary, and OR techs
• Uses CPN and Meditech documentation systems
• 13-week assignment on night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule includes 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift per scheduling period, working 12-hour shifts
• Travelers are floated first per unit floating policy
• Care for laboring patients and newborns immediately after delivery
• Circulate and recover C-section patients
• Unit performs vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM (AWHONN Advanced not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients and newborns immediately post-delivery
• Support shared decision making as part of the patient experience approach
• Scrubs are required in Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray and are not provided by the facility
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
