Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ED Surge/Stepdown Cardiac position requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience, Epic proficiency, and NH or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Position is contracted to the ED unit, specifically to care for inpatient and CICU-level holds within the ED
- Patient population includes chest pain, syncope, heart failure, sepsis, overdose, GI bleed, COPD, and pneumonia, with overflow medical, surgical, trauma, oncology, and orthopedic patients as well
- Cardiac procedures include s/p cath with stent placement (no CABG), ICD/pacemaker insertions, and cardioversions
- Requires management and titration of drips including Lasix, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Integrillin, Labetalol, Dopamine, and Dobutamine
- Equipment includes BiPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, Alaris Pumps, and Philips Monitoring System
- EMR: Epic — experience required
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
Requirements
- Active NH state license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA or Red Cross certifications: BLS and ACLS required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required, with a strong PCU background within the last year
- Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency in managing and titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips required
- ED experience preferred but not required
- Professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers with Epic experience and at least 2 years of experience are welcome to apply; candidates with only 1 year of experience will not be considered
- EKG test required upon arrival
- Only AHA and Red Cross certifications are accepted
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a local pay rate
- Former employees of any facility associated with SolutionHealth are not eligible for this position, regardless of length of separation or time worked
