Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift weekend position requiring ARRT certification with CT registry and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- Work in the CT Scan department of an acute care hospital with 373 licensed beds, TJC Stroke accreditation, and no trauma designation
- Department offers CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine with Radiology Nursing support
- Patient population includes ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient cases
- Department performs CT-guided invasive procedures, cases with anesthesia, and cardiac CT imaging (day shift, 7 days/week)
- Average of 160 studies per weekday and 120 studies on weekends
- Uses 3 Siemens CT scanners (Definition AS 40, Force, and Edge+), Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors, Philips iSite PACS, and Epic/Epic Radiant RIS
- Epic EMR — experience required
- 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 36 hours per week
- On-call required approximately 2–3 shifts per month
- No floating required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT
- Active license required, if applicable
- Current BLS certification
- Proficiency in venous and arterial phase scanning, multi-phase scanning, stroke imaging including perfusion, and colorectal studies
- Ability to start peripheral IVs
- 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Former employees of any AHSE facility who held a permanent position must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
- Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) followed by 2 days to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed
- Departmental orientation may include weekday shifts regardless of the assigned weekend schedule
- Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
- TeraRecon knowledge is preferred but not required
- Guest Services and Transport staff support inpatient and observation patient movement
- Scrub color: black
- Free parking available in surface lots and parking decks
- A clinical interview with the manager is required
