Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Technologist for a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center, requiring 2+ years of recent CT experience and ARRT registration.

Details

• Work in the Radiology department of a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center
• Perform CT exams on trauma, ER, outpatient, inpatient (stable and intensive care), research patients, and specialized CT-guided procedures
• Four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM
• No on-call responsibilities
• Weekend coverage required every weekend
• Rotating holiday coverage

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School and high school graduate
• New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or limited permit to practice in New York required
• License required if applicable
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in CT
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active NYS license required at time of consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform technical CT procedures under the direction of the Medical Director, Section Head, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist
• Utilize CT modality to create diagnostic images while ensuring a safe and positive patient experience
• Support teaching efforts and engage in continuous learning as technology evolves
• Practice and enforce radiation safety measures in accordance with New York State Department of Health code Part 16
• ICU unit assignments (including MICU, Neuro, SICU) require completion of competency testing with up to 2 attempts to pass
• Med-Surg applicants with less than 2 years of experience will be required to pass Med-Surg testing with up to 2 attempts
• Facility only accepts medical exemptions for flu vaccination, signed by a licensed professional; personal or religious declinations are not accepted
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Local candidates residing in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties are not eligible
