Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel CT Scan Technologist with 2+ years of recent CT experience for a 13-week assignment at a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center in Albany, NY.

Details

• Radiology department within a fast-paced Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center
• Performs CT scans on outpatients, inpatients (stable and ICU-level), ER and trauma patients, research patients, and those requiring CT-guided procedures
• Friday through Sunday, three 12-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 8:30 PM)
• No on-call responsibilities
• Every weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience
• Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School
• ARRT registration required
• Active NYS Registration in Diagnostic Radiography required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• US Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations will not be accepted

Additional Information

• Performs technical CT procedures and assists in clinical evaluation and patient care under the direction of the Radiologist and department leadership
• Supports teaching and continuing education as imaging technology evolves
• Practices and enforces radiation safety measures in accordance with NY State Department of Health code part 16
• Candidates residing within Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible for this position (50-mile radius restriction)
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week contract period may result in termination; any required make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this position
