Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring cardiac telemetry experience and Epic proficiency, working nights with weekend and holiday rotation.
Details
- Hospital PCU setting with a 1:5 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Cardiac telemetry patient population requiring dysrhythmia management and interpretation
- Procedures include peripheral line care and management, PICC line management, and titrating drips
- EMR: Epic (required)
- Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekend rotation required
- Holiday rotation required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating between all health system campuses required as needed
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Cardiac telemetry (PCU) experience required
- Experience with dysrhythmia management and interpretation required
- Experience with peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and titrating drips required
- Experience working with PCU patient ratios (1:5) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — study materials are not provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
