Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery (Labor and Birth) night shift position requiring 2+ years of labor experience and C-EFM and NRP certifications.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital Family Birth Place unit with 15 labor beds, 7 antepartum beds, and 4 pre/post beds
• Patient ratios are 1:1 or 2:1 depending on acuity
• External fetal monitoring equipment is used
• EMR is Epic
• Night shift schedule: 3x12, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Floating to the postpartum unit may be required
• No on-call requirements
• Weekends required as determined by the facility
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or valid Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) — no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment unless documented renewal is scheduled
• Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience at a hospital delivering 350–400 patients monthly
• ACLS and PALS are preferred but not required
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs are not accepted)
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Scrub color required: black
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) may be allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and are subject to a reduced bill rate
• Local candidates are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts at this facility; after that, a minimum 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required
