Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Telemetry position at a cardiac-focused hospital in Hickory, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and AHA-certified BLS and ACLS.

Details

• Night shift position: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Medical Surgical Telemetry unit in a 355-bed acute care hospital
• 24-bed Telemetry unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Cardiac patient population ranging from young adults to elderly adults
• Common diagnoses and procedures include chest pain, A-fib, CHF, pre- and post-care for cardiac caths (groin and radial), and VATS
• Equipment used includes LifePak, Zoll, and Masimo monitoring devices
• Cerner EMR (preferred, not required)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units

Requirements

• Active RN license in NC or a compact state currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of RN telemetry or cardiac experience
• Associates degree in Nursing (minimum)
• Experience with LifePak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate

Additional Information

• Orientation is offered twice monthly
• Family-oriented unit culture
• Any color scrubs are acceptable
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel position
