Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a 10-hour evening shift position in a hospital-based CT Scan department in Charlotte, NC.

Details

• Hospital-based CT Scan department within a 373-licensed-bed acute care facility (344 acute, 29 inpatient rehab) with no trauma designation
• Facility is TJC Stroke accredited and offers CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine services with Radiology Nursing support
• Patient population includes ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient
• Department performs CT-guided invasive procedures, cases requiring anesthesia, and Cardiac CT imaging (day shift, 7 days/week)
• Average of 160 studies per weekday and 120 studies on weekends
• Equipment includes 3 Siemens CT scanners (Definition AS 40, Force, Edge+) and Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors
• EMR: Epic; RIS: Epic Radiant; PACS: Philips iSite
• 10-hour evening shifts, Monday and Wednesday–Friday, 2:00 PM–12:30 AM, 40 hours/week
• On-call required approximately 2–3 shifts per month
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Scan experience, with most recent experience within the last year
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT
• Current BLS certification
• Active license required if applicable
• Proficiency in starting peripheral IVs
• Experience with venous and arterial phase scanning, multi-phase scanning, stroke imaging including perfusion, and colorectal studies
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Travelers who have worked a permanent position at any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
• Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) followed by 2 days to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
• TeraRecon knowledge is preferred but not required
• Inpatient and observation patients are supported by Guest Services/Transport
• A clinical interview with the manager is required
• Black scrubs required
