Description
American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract at an acute care facility in Indiana, with a 1:5-6 patient ratio and weekend shift requirements.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting on a combined Medical Oncology and Medical Surgical unit
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
- General medical/surgical oncology patient population
- 12-hour night shifts, 3x per week (3x12 nights)
- 4 weekend shifts per schedule required; night shift weekends fall on Friday/Saturday with 1 Sunday shift required per schedule
- Floating required within scope, including to an 8-bed prison unit on the same campus
- Allscripts EMR in use
Requirements
- Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Med/Surg experience required; oncology experience a plus
- BSN not required
Additional Information
- Navy blue scrubs are required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates within 50–100 miles may be considered as local at a reduced rate
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
