Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Transplant ICU position requiring a DC RN license, ACLS, and at least 2 years of ICU experience including dysrhythmia management and multi-system organ failure care.

Details

• Position is in a Transplant ICU (S44) within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required; pending DC license accepted but must be in hand prior to start date — proof of pending status required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Experience required in: dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multi-system organ failure, IV insulin protocols, GI surgery, chronic/acute renal failure, IV therapy, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drains (EVD), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, post-neurosurgery management, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, respiratory/thoracic care, infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, phlebotomy, and surgical wounds with drains/wound vac
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required

• Charge nurse experience preferred
