Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position at a hospital in Hickory, NC, requiring at least 2 years of experience and working night shifts on a 13-week contract.

Details

• Night shift position, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Med/Surg Combination unit in a 355-bed acute care hospital
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Common diagnoses include pneumonia, COPD, CHF, CVA, and cancer
• 17-18 bed unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Cerner EMR in use
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to all areas of the facility

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• AHA certifications required (BLS at minimum; bring applicable AHA certs)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Hospital is home to specialty centers including a Brain Center, Cancer Center, Heart Center, Lung Center, Orthopedics, General & Vascular Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, Women's Center, and a Level 3 NICU
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
