Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Surgical/Orthopedics Night Shift position in Maine, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and active ME or compact RN license.

Details

• Inpatient hospital surgical/orthopedic unit setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Telemetry experience preferred
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend may be required upon request by the department manager or supervisor
• Holiday coverage required for: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July
• Local candidates are accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active Maine RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already held)
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• MOAB or CPI certification preferred but not required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Strong communication skills, ability to multitask, and flexibility required
• Must be a team player comfortable working in a collaborative environment

Additional Information

• Performs patient care functions under the supervision of the Unit Director and Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse in accordance with Maine Board of Nursing standards
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible and will be considered at a local pay rate
• Travelers may work a maximum of 2 consecutive 13-week assignments at this facility before a mandatory break of at least 26 weeks (2 cycles) is required before returning
• Pay period runs Sunday through Saturday
