Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position at an acute care hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a valid MO or compact RN license.
Details
- Work setting is an acute care hospital with 233 staffed beds
- Cardiac Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5-6
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
- Block scheduling is not available
- No on-call requirements
- Charting system: Epic (experience required)
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Requirements
- Active MO state RN license or compact RN license required; IL candidates may apply with a pending IL license
- Required certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Preferred certifications: ACLS and CPI
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Telemetry experience including rhythm interpretation required
- Experience with cardiac medications and drips (non-titration) required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Navy scrubs required
- Free parking available on-site
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO allowed during the first week of orientation
- Travelers may remain at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
- Former permanent employees of a BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Completion of orientation modules required prior to start
