Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool position requiring a current NY RN license, prior travel experience, and comfort floating across multiple units including ICU and ED.

Details

• 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a), 3 shifts per week
• Weekend, holiday, and call coverage required
• Float pool role with floating expected across Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatrics
• Coronary care patient population included in assignment scope
• EMR: MEDITECH (charting experience required)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required and must be currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Coronary care experience required
• Comfortable floating to Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatric units
• At least one prior completed travel nursing assignment required
• Strong leadership skills with ability to prioritize, delegate, and function well under pressure
• Ability to assess and safely implement patient lift and mobility techniques
• Two references from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager from the past year and within the specialty required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• May be required to assume charge nurse duties
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills are essential for this role
