Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU/CCU night shift position at a smaller independent community hospital in Colorado, requiring a minimum of 3 years of critical care experience and Day 0 CVICU competency.
Details
- Works in a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) and CCU setting at a smaller, independent community hospital located on the I-70 Corridor between Denver and Grand Junction, CO
- Must be comfortable covering both CVICU and CCU units
- Facility has 2 Cath Labs, including 1 Hybrid Cath Lab
- 12-hour night shifts (1900–0730) with weekend rotation
- On-call rotation required: 1 call shift per 2-week pay period, if needed due to staffing
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CO RN license or compact license currently in good standing (Nursys verification required)
- Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 3 years of RN critical care experience required
- Day 0 CVICU experience required — must be able to care for CVICU patients independently from the first shift
- Flu vaccine required — no exemptions
- Candidate's permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility

- Strong CVICU skills are essential, including familiarity with Cath Lab and hybrid procedures
- Provide care to cardiovascular ICU and CCU patients within a community-focused hospital environment
- Hospital-managed furnished housing (studio and 1-bedroom apartments) is available approximately half a block from the facility for direct rental by the traveler, based on availability
- Local candidates are not accepted — permanent address must be 75+ miles from the facility
