Description

American Traveler is seeking a Chemo-Certified or Chemotherapy Infusion-experienced RN for a 13-week Oncology Infusion assignment at an acute care facility in Indiana.

Details

• Acute care oncology infusion (chemotherapy) unit
• Day shift schedule: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–5:00pm, Friday 7:00am–12:00pm (often finishing earlier based on patient schedules)
• Flexibility with hours may be requested based on patient scheduling needs
• EMR systems used: Cerner and Intellidose (TxM)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Chemotherapy infusion experience required; chemo certification (ONS) strongly preferred
• Proficiency with IV access including peripheral access and port access required
• BSN not required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment prior to IV treatments, accessing ports and peripheral IVs for lab draws and IV therapies, administering chemotherapy and other IV infusions, administering oral pre-treatment medications, and monitoring and responding to side effects or reactions per protocol
• Prior experience with Cerner and/or Intellidose (TxM) is a strong plus
• Candidates residing between 50–100 miles from the facility may be considered at a reduced pay rate; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
