Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring flexibility across multiple surgical service lines and a South Carolina or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
- Support various surgical service lines including General, Neuro, Ortho, and Robotics
- 13-week assignment with a scheduled shift of 06:30-15:00
- Weekend shifts required
- Participation in scheduled call required
Requirements
- Active RN license (South Carolina or Compact) required
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- Circulating duties experience in the OR required
- Comfortable working across multiple surgical specialties
Additional Information
- Perform patient assessments and deliver nursing interventions consistent with physician-prescribed plans of care
- Prep the operating room and position patients for procedures
- Complete verification of the Safe Surgery checklist
- Serve as communication liaison between the surgical team and patient's family
- Delegate, supervise, and evaluate team members while responding to urgent or emergent situations
- Assist with control and maintenance of OR supplies and equipment
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
- Utilize computer systems for patient care documentation
