Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (R and CT) certification for a weekend/Monday shift contract in Clyde, NC.
Details
- Radiology department at a 154-bed community hospital located in Clyde, NC, approximately 20 miles from Asheville
- Joint Commission Accredited facility with a Chest Pain Center offering orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, ED, and behavioral health
- Patient population includes adult, geriatric, and some pediatric patients
- Caseload of approximately 20–30 patients per tech with two techs on shift
- Equipment includes GE CT scanner; EMR is Paragon
- Procedures include CT biopsy, drainage, Coronary CTA, nerve root blocks, and fluoroscopy on the CT machine
- MRI float preferred if qualified
- Shift schedule: Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, and Monday 8:30 AM–9:00 PM
- On-call required a couple of nights per week, rotated among techs
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience
- ARRT registration in both Radiography (R) and CT required
- AHA certifications required
- Ability to perform CT-guided procedures including biopsy, drainage, Coronary CTA, nerve root blocks, or fluoroscopy on CT machine
- MRI experience preferred
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging and CT-guided interventional procedures; MRI coverage preferred but not required
- Orientation is held bi-weekly
- Black scrubs required; t-shirts and hoodies are not acceptable
- Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
