Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute rehabilitation assignment in Washington, DC, requiring an active DC OT license.
Details
- Position is located in an Acute Rehabilitation Unit
- Day shift, Monday through Friday schedule
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
Requirements
- Active DC OT license required (no pending licenses); license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience in a U.S. hospital setting required
- Bachelor's degree from an AOTA-accredited program required; Master's degree highly desired
- Current BLS certification required (AHA-issued only)
- CPI certification required
- Active U.S. SSN required
- Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services including evaluation, program planning, and treatment administration as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Perform detailed clinical assessments based on individual patient needs upon physician referral and develop age-appropriate plans of care
- Accurately document all patient treatment and respond effectively to evolving work assignments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential in this role
