Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an outpatient oncology clinic setting specializing in stem cell transplant, requiring a valid CA RN license and at least 2 years of oncology experience.
Details
- Outpatient clinic setting within an Adult Stem Cell Transplant Program
- Patient population includes those diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and stem cell transplant
- Day shift schedule: 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Responsibilities involve working with the authorization department, coordinating new patient referrals, scheduling appointments across multiple departments, and responding to patient messages through MyChart and Epic pools
- No blocked scheduling or self-scheduling
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required
- Outpatient oncology experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Preferred certifications: Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC), OCN, and BMTCN
- BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) experience preferred
- Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam (up to 3 attempts)
- At least one supervisory/director/manager reference from within the past year, from the relevant unit, required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- No RTO (time off requests) permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment; RTO requests must be confirmed prior to consideration
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler; prior employment must be disclosed at time of consideration
- A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required
