Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU RN for a 13-week travel contract in Oklahoma City, requiring at least one year of CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting.
Details
- Position is in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (Cardio PICU) within a hospital setting
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
- CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting is required for this role
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact/eNLC) required
- Certifications required (must be from the American Heart Association): BLS and PALS
- Minimum of one year of RN experience required
- CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products, and collaborating with physicians during examinations and procedures
- Responsible for patient and family education regarding care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to return; extensions are limited to one time, for a maximum of 26 total weeks
- Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding (drug screen, background check, medical requirements) immediately upon commitment
- Date of birth (DOB) is required for consideration
