Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a DC RN license, 2 years of L&D experience, and Cerner proficiency.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes females of childbearing age, pregnant patients at 17+ weeks gestation, laboring patients, and triage cases
• Procedures include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage, and pre-op care
• Unit activity encompasses admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries
• Common equipment includes fetal monitors, Cerner, and Fetalink for documentation
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Schedule is 3x12-hour rotating shifts (AM/PM)
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• NRP certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience in a US hospital setting required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• US Social Security Number required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op preparation, and supporting vaginal and C-section deliveries
• CPI certification is mandated for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• All certifications submitted must be AHA-issued
