Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an acute care hospital in California, requiring active L&D and postpartum experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Night shift position working 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- 4x12 schedule available upon request
- Labor & Delivery unit within a 277-bed acute care hospital
- Patient ratio of 1:3
- Floating between like units and across facilities within the state is required
- Charting is done in Epic
- Scrubs are provided for L&D staff
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of L&D and postpartum experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification is preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty are required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are not accepted for this position
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; RTO requests made after submission or offer may be denied
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Refusal to float between facilities may result in termination of assignment
- 36-hour orientation is provided
