Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel assignment in Ogden, UT, requiring at least 2 years of clinical experience and an active UT or compact RN license.

Details

• 26-bed Medical Unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Patient care technicians are available on the unit
• Equipment used includes Hoyer lifts, rolling computers, and rolling vital signs monitors
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Day shift: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
• Requires 4 weekend shifts per month
• May float to Surgical or Acute Rehab units
• Post-cath lab patients return to this unit following heart procedures in the cath lab
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active UT or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN clinical experience
• Med/Surg experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Proficiency in medication administration and controlled substance knowledge
• Experience with NG/NJ tubes, chest tubes, and heparin drips
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

• Navy blue scrub tops and bottoms are required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
