Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a General Ultrasound position requiring ARDMS registration in both Abdomen and OB/GYN and an active Oregon OBMI license.
Details
- General Ultrasound unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Alternating 4x10-hour shifts covering day and swing shift hours, with times ranging from 7:00 AM to 1:00 AM
- One schedule rotation runs 2:00 PM–10:00 PM and the other runs 7:00 AM–6:30 PM
- OB ultrasound procedures are performed in this role
- Epic EMR required — no exceptions
- May float to a nearby sister hospital
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Prior travel experience required
- Ability to perform OB ultrasound required
- Active Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license required — no pending licenses accepted (license required if applicable)
- ARDMS registration in both Abdomen and OB/GYN required
- BLS certification from the AHA required
- Proficiency with state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment, computer systems, and related devices
- Epic EMR experience required
- COVID vaccination required — no exemptions
- Bachelor's degree in Sonography preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rates — no radius restriction
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront and cannot be modified after submission; additional RTO requests may result in cancellation
- Former staff must have been away for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
- 13-week minimum contract length; candidates interested in a longer assignment should indicate their preference
