Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical-Surgical unit at a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated teaching hospital, requiring a SC or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- Medical-Surgical unit in an 820-bed Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
- Patient ratio of 1:5 (subject to change based on staffing needs)
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation required
- Floating within scope to like units or sister facilities may be required
- Charting via Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active SC RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must be active prior to start
- Current BLS certification required (AHA-issued only)
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; approval is based on facility needs
- Orientation modules are completed prior to start date
- Scrub colors: solid royal blue or white top with royal blue bottoms
- A $20 registration fee is required to obtain a parking hang tag for the designated parking garage
