Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel Labor & Delivery position in Denver, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care L&D experience and active fetal monitoring certification.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting, located on the 3rd floor of the main building
- Unit consists of 29 beds, 4 ORs, 3 PACU bays, 12 antepartum rooms, and 10 triage rooms
- Patient ratio of 2:1
- Procedures performed include vaginal and cesarean deliveries, D&C, hysterectomy, postpartum tubal ligation, cerclage placement, and external cephalic versions
- High-risk OB cases are managed on this unit
- Equipment includes Centricity and GE fetal monitors
- EMR system is Meditech/CPN; prior experience preferred
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CO or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, AAP card), and Intermediate or Advanced AWHONN fetal monitoring (or NCCEFM)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital L&D experience required
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
Additional Information
- PACU and/or OR experience is preferred
- Meditech/CPN EMR experience is preferred
- Ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently while supporting the team
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
