Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with strong interventional and STEMI experience for a 13-week contract at a short-term acute care hospital, with EP device proficiency required.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting, Cardiac Cath Lab unit
- 4x10 hour day shifts, with hours from either 7:30 AM–6:00 PM or 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Heavy on-call requirement: approximately 10–12 call shifts per month with a 30-minute response time
- On-call shifts are 12–14 hours in duration, beginning at the end of the scheduled shift or at 5:00 PM on non-working days
- Charting performed in Cerner (experience required)
- Candidates may be asked to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months of Cath Lab experience
- Strong hands-on experience with interventional procedures and STEMI is required
- Proficiency with EP devices is a hard requirement
- ARRT(R) and ACLS certifications required; BLS required (AHA and RQI accepted, must be current)
- Indiana or Compact state license required; pending license acceptable if application has been submitted
- License required if applicable
- 2 supervisor references required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates (Indiana residents) are accepted, though at a different pay package
- Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
- Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
- IU Health travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within the IU Health system are required to take a consecutive break to reset travel eligibility: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break, and in-state residents require a 180-day break
