Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a short-term acute care hospital, requiring strong interventional experience including STEMI and EP device proficiency with Cerner charting experience required.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting, Cardiac Cath Lab unit
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM–6:00 PM or 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
- On-call required: 10–12 call shifts per month with a 30-minute response time; call shifts are 12–14 hours in duration and begin at shift completion, or at 5:00 PM on non-working days
- Charting in Cerner (experience required)
- Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of Cath Lab experience
- Strong interventional experience including STEMI procedures required
- Comfort and proficiency with EP devices required
- Active IN or Compact state license required (pending license accepted if applied); license required if applicable
- Current ARRT(R) and ACLS certifications required; AHA and RQI formats accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR required
- 2 supervisor references required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Additional Information
- Perform interventional cardiac procedures including STEMI response and EP device utilization
- Candidates who are current or former permanent/PRN employees of the facility must have a 12-month gap before applying as a traveler
- Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within this health system are required to take a consecutive break before resuming: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break; in-state residents require a 180-day break
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Must be available to work at least 1 winter holiday
- Indiana residents are considered local candidates and are accepted at a lower pay package for this position
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
