Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in peripheral/TAVR and structural heart procedures for a 12-week contract.
Details
- Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and electrophysiology (EP) lab setting
- Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- Call requirements include 5 weekdays and 1 weekend every 6 weeks
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Epic charting system experience required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in cardiac cath lab procedures
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Experience with cardiac implant closure devices, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations
- Experience with IABP placement/removal, PCI, PTCA, rotablator atherectomy, and TAVR
- Skilled in interpretation of dysrhythmias and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Proficient in scrub procedures and maintaining sterile field
- Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment set up, room circulator duties, and scrub procedures maintaining sterile field
- Follows isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and infection control/sterile technique standards
- Utilizes Rapid Response/Code teams as needed
- Maintains and operates cath lab equipment
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with RTO finalized at time of submission
- If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested
- If three major holidays fall during the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be considered
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Employees returning from this health system must be away from all facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
