Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Radiology CT Scan department at a large 800-bed hospital in Asheville, NC, requiring 2+ years of CT experience including ED trauma and stroke imaging.

• Located on the 2nd floor of the A Tower in a large 800-bed acute care hospital
• Radiology CT Scan department staffed with 5 technologists and a supervisor on day shift
• Equipment includes GE Optima, 3 GE EVO, GE Revolution, and Medrad Injectors
• EMR system is Cerner Rad Net with Philips PACS
• Procedures include neuro, MSK, body imaging, invasive CT, cardiac imaging, and pediatric imaging
• Day shift hours are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Possible weekend shifts and rotation to another shift
• Potential on-call requirement of approximately 12 hours per month

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT technologist experience, including at least 6 months of active experience within the last 6 months
• Proficiency in all areas of CT imaging including diagnostic and invasive scans
• Required skills in ED trauma and stroke imaging
• Current ARRT (R) certification required
• License required if applicable
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

• GE equipment experience, invasive CT, cardiac CT, and venipuncture skills are preferred
• Ideal candidate is a team player who can also work independently and is self-motivated
• Black scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
