Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ED Flow Navigator role in a high-volume Level II trauma center Emergency Department, requiring at least 2 years of RN experience with a minimum of 1 year in an ER setting.
Details
- 101-bed Emergency Department within a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
- Typical patient ratio of 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
- Support staff includes techs (cardiac monitoring unit and internal processing area, triage) and unit clerks on days and nights
- Equipment includes Baxter pumps and GE monitors
- Charting is done in Cerner
- Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Every other weekend required; scheduling must meet departmental needs and block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- No floating outside of the ED; must be open to floating to all sections within the ED
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Required certifications prior to start: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI), and NIHSS
- ENPC required within 90 days of start
- All certifications must be AHA or ARC issued and must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in an ER setting
- Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits) preferred
- Previous HCA experience preferred
- Ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
- Teamwork-oriented with flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
