Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ED Flow Navigator role in a high-volume Level II trauma center Emergency Department, requiring at least 2 years of RN experience with a minimum of 1 year in an ER setting.

Details

  • 101-bed Emergency Department within a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
  • Typical patient ratio of 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
  • Support staff includes techs (cardiac monitoring unit and internal processing area, triage) and unit clerks on days and nights
  • Equipment includes Baxter pumps and GE monitors
  • Charting is done in Cerner
  • Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
  • Every other weekend required; scheduling must meet departmental needs and block scheduling cannot be accommodated
  • No floating outside of the ED; must be open to floating to all sections within the ED

Requirements

  • Active NC or compact RN license required
  • Required certifications prior to start: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI), and NIHSS
  • ENPC required within 90 days of start
  • All certifications must be AHA or ARC issued and must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in an ER setting
  • Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits) preferred
  • Previous HCA experience preferred
  • Ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
  • Teamwork-oriented with flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
