Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment at a Level II Trauma facility in Nebraska.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting with a Level II Trauma designation
  • CT department with 3 scanner rooms
  • Patient population includes adults, geriatrics, and pediatric patients seen through the ER
  • Procedures include CT biopsies, drains, aspirations, cryoablations, cervical injections, stroke angio studies with third-party processing, and CTA coronary
  • Uses Siemens CT scanners, McKesson PACS, and Epic EMR
  • Mixed 9, 10, and 12-hour shifts with varying start times; scheduling is cyclic and managed by supervisors
  • Day shift: every 4th weekend required; Overnight shift: every other weekend required
  • Weekend call once every 6 weeks; weeknight call approximately 3–4 nights per month when fully staffed, potentially more when not fully staffed
  • 2 holidays per year required
  • Day shift may be required to float to MRI; overnight shift may be required to float to X-ray

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
  • Night shift candidates must have CT and X-ray experience; X-ray and MRI experience preferred for day shift
  • Active ARRT (CT) and BLS certifications required — pending certifications will not be accepted
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • License required if applicable — active state or compact (NLC) licensure required; pending licenses will not be accepted
  • Valid driver's license required for consideration
  • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (driver's license used to verify permanent address)
  • Candidates may not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
  • Candidates who were directly employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible (those employed PRN through outside firms may be considered)

Additional Information

  • Perform CT imaging including advanced procedures such as biopsies, cryoablations, cervical injections, stroke angio studies, and CTA coronary studies
  • Approximately 3 days of department-specific orientation provided
  • This is a fast-paced department; candidates who are self-motivated, accountable, compassionate, and comfortable with challenges will thrive
  • Landauer radiation badges provided by the facility
  • Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to comply may result to contract termination
  • RTO of 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract must be communicated upfront; additional RTO will not be approved
