Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring a minimum of 1-2 years of L&D experience and an active Iowa or compact RN license.

Details

• Works in a combined OB/GYN unit within a regional health center serving Southeast Iowa
• Night shift schedule: 7p-7a
• Every other weekend hours required
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for active labor, 3:1 for couplet care
• Intermediate fetal monitoring using Philips Tracevue equipment
• EMR: Meditech
• Floating within the hospital to other units as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Iowa or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E. (AHA-issued certifications required)
• Minimum 1-2 years of L&D experience required; candidates with 1 year of experience may be considered if they have prior travel experience
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required — no instant or statewide searches accepted
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Titers required within the last 12 months: MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB
• Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult) required

Additional Information

• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates must not be employed full-time elsewhere
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Monday or Tuesday start dates are accepted
