Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and a valid NC or compact RN license.

Details

  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 12-week contract

Requirements

  • Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state
  • Current BLS certification (American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Epic EMR experience is mandatory
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Assesses patient needs and conditions to develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
  • Administers medications and treatments as part of comprehensive patient care
  • Evaluates patient responses to interventions and adjusts care plans as needed
  • Collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure effective care planning
  • Maintains accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies
  • All RNs must pass a pass/fail EKG exam during compliance; two attempts are allowed — candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
