Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift position at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT RT(R)(CT) certification and Siemens equipment experience.
Details
- Work in a CT Scan unit at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital with 865 staffed beds
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Daily caseload varies by shift and location
- Siemens Naeotom Alpha Photon Counting (Somaris 10) and Siemens X.Cite (Somaris 10) equipment used
- Charting via Epic EMR
- Floating within clinical scope is required, including to sister facilities
- No on-call requirement
- Holiday rotation required
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months Level 1 Trauma experience required; 1 year of CT experience preferred
- Active BLS (AHA), ARRT RT(R)(CT), and SCRQSA (R)(CT) certifications required
- Siemens CT equipment experience required
- Level 1 Trauma center experience required
- SC license required if applicable; must be active and in hand — pending licenses will not be accepted at time of start
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the standard travel rate; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- First-time travelers will be considered provided they have relevant prior experience
Additional Information
- Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
- A radiation badge is required for this role and must be supplied by the candidate — the facility does not provide radiation badges to travelers
- Pre-start online modules are required to be completed prior to the first day
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; approval is subject to manager and unit availability
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- Parking on nights and weekends requires a one-time $20 parking pass fee
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
