Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a GA or compact RN license, ACLS, and a minimum of 1 year of ED experience.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital Emergency Department
- Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Georgia (GA) or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all from American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- BVP/De-escalation & Crisis Intervention (DCI) training required
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) or Stroke Certification preferred
- COVID vaccination/boosters preferred
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for delivering safe patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Communicates changes in patient clinical condition — including diagnostic results and symptomatology — to the attending physician
- Knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and mandatory reporting requirements for child and adult abuse
- Directs and guides patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
