Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry float pool position in Tucson, AZ, requiring Cerner experience and an AZ RN license for night shift work across multiple facilities.
Details
- Float pool position requiring willingness to float between multiple facilities in the Tucson area
- Med/Surg and Med/Surg/Telemetry unit setting within a hospital environment
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
- Patient ratio of 6:1
- EMR: Cerner experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active AZ RN license or compact license with AZ as primary state required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Responsible for shift accountability and delivering patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
- Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in care planning and safe patient delivery
- Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel
- Any scrub color is acceptable
- RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
- Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
- First-time travelers may be considered per the facility's standard experience requirements
