Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry float pool position in Tucson, AZ, requiring Cerner experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Float pool position requiring willingness to float across multiple Med/Surg and Telemetry units within a network of four facilities in the Tucson area
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Cerner EMR experience is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or compact license recognized in AZ required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Valid US driver's license required for consideration
• US Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted

Additional Information

• Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures
• Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
• Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel
• Scrubs of any color are accepted
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
