Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele (Oncology) night shift position at an acute care hospital, requiring at least 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work setting is a 233-bed acute care hospital
- Unit specializes in Medical/Surgical Oncology patients
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Patient ratios of 1:5–6
- Every other weekend requirement: Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday rotation depending on existing scheduling
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- Charting system is Epic (experience required)
- No parking cost
Requirements
- Active MO RN license or compact RN license required; IL candidates may apply with a pending IL license
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Fire Safety
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Navy scrubs required
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Travelers may work at this health system for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
- Local candidates (within 75 miles) are not eligible for this position
