Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT registration and advanced CT certification for a night shift position in a hospital-based CT department.

Details

• Hospital-based Computed Tomography (CT) department
• Adult and pediatric patient population
• 4x10 hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• 40 hours per week
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
• Uses Epic EMR and IMPAX/PACS systems

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science
• ARRT registration or registry-eligible candidates must provide a copy of diploma from an accredited program; candidates must become registered within one year of hire and maintain registry status and CE requirements annually
• Advanced ARRT certification in CT required
• Current BLS (HCP) required
• Experience with PACS, Epic EMR, image manipulation, multi-planar and 3D reconstruction, and IV contrast administration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform CT scans per protocol, including image acquisition, manipulation, multi-planar and 3D reconstruction, and appropriate window and level selection
• Administer oral and IV contrast to adult and pediatric patients, establish IV lines, verify contrast eligibility, and check relevant lab values prior to injection
• Manage image transfer and verification via PACS, Epic, and IMPAX, including order management and ensuring demographic and charge accuracy
• Precept new employees and students as part of regular responsibilities
• Maintain a clean, orderly work environment and document incidents as improvement opportunities
