Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and offering night shifts on a 13-week contract.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a large, short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center with 1,500+ staffed beds
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• On-call requirement: 2 four-hour blocks per 6-week schedule
• No floating required
• Block scheduling can be accommodated
• Charting via Epic
• Parking is available at a cost of $125/month
• Scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required prior to start date (pending license accepted at time of application)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
• Prior experience in a large Trauma Center setting required
• Clean nursing license with no prior actions

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• RTO of 7 days or fewer may be auto-approved; RTO exceeding 7 days requires facility approval
• Flu vaccination is required — declinations are not accepted; COVID vaccination exemptions are accepted for religious or medical reasons only
• 1 reference required for consideration
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or other emergency response activities as needed
• Friday start dates begin with a fully virtual orientation, with on-site reporting beginning the following Monday
